The story

London in the late forties. One day, the young writer Juliet Ashton (Lily James) receives an extraordinary letter. The literature-loving farmer Dawsey Adams (Michiel Huisman) lives on the remote Channel island of Guernsey and is looking for a special book, for which he asks Juliet for help. Juliet is immediately taken with Dawsey's letter. All the more so when she finds out that he, together with some residents of Guernsey, founded the literary association “Guernseyer Friends of Poetry and Potato Peel Casserole”. Its lovable and sometimes eccentric members helped themselves through the time during the Second World War. Juliet quickly decides to travel to Guernsey and write about the book club. Once she arrives on the island, she soon cannot let go of the history of its inhabitants. And from the moment she first meets Dawsey, it becomes clear that Juliet has begun a journey that will change her life forever.

When DEINE JULIET hits home theaters on December 13th, win a DVD including a poster or the book for the film!
